2nd Floor Renovation

Your Support is Needed

Dear McArthur Public Library Supporter:

As many of you know, in 1996, the McArthur Public Library addition and renovation resulted in an amazing update of our library facilities.  What you may not know is due to funding over 2,500 square feet of the new addition was left vacant.  We are extremely pleased to report that the McArthur Library Association Board of Trustees has voted to move forward with renovating this much needed space.  In June, Oak Point Associates of Biddeford was hired to complete a conceptual plan and construction drawings.

Plans for the new space include:

·         A comfortable and quiet reading room on the second floor

·         A new multipurpose community meeting room with advanced technology

·         A more open space on the second floor for reading and using popular books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and newspapers

·         An expanded area for wireless Internet users

·         A new young adult area for teens

As part of the building renovation, we are also working on a fundraising campaign to help raise needed funds for this exciting project.  If you wish to support this campaign, please make checks out to the McArthur Library Association and mail to: The McArthur Library Association, PO Box 346, Biddeford, Maine, 04005.

Thank you for your continued support of the McArthur Public Library.

Sincerely,

Dora St. Martin, Director, McArthur Public Library
